yes it fits

like I said in the PM, i'd research and find out if you can swap d16y8 gears into a d15b2 trans, and that way you'll have the best of both worlds.

i was just reading another forum i no i should just do harness swap cuz its lik right infront of my eyes haha but if i really wanted to go quick i could just drop the d16y8 in my car n run with dpfi i no it wont grave vtec but it would work or no

i mean ima do the swap harness but if i really was a lazy bum i could jus throw the d16 in n plug up all my old shizz to it n im ready to go is this true or is they guy i read this off of cookooo

i would definitely do the mpfi conversion. if you're not going to do that, you might as well not even swap the engine.

yea i am but jus wanted to noif it work lol

okay so heres a prob with my EG hatch
d15b7 mpfi throttle-body
the ecu fryd
i got a new one its the same ecu my dads friend is a good mechanic n ran a quick electric test on the distributor
he says the distributor is bad
also said that i can use the the distributor from the EK on the EG but i look at it the EK only has one plug in for the distributor n the EG has 2.. the one plug in from the EK distributor will fitt the EG's but theres still gunna be one plug on the EG thats not connected if i use the EKs distributor do u no its thats oright i mean i jus wanna swap it on the EG real fast to see if it will start up n then buy a new distributor cuz i dont wanna go n buy one n then it not be it yea no lol i learn my lesson from that when i did it on my ef one time

can you clarify this part?
it's hard to read run-on sentences

EDIT: nevermind, after rereading I got it.
no, you can't just plug the EK distributor in, because they are different OBD. to directly plug it in, you need a conversion harness... but it's not really worth buying if all you're doing is testing it.

only with a conversion harness or by splicing wires.

you're gonna need the EK distributor for the d16y8 anyway in your own car... don't get rid of that distributor, you need it.

the distributor on the 99 has only one harness plug in n the 92 hatch has 2 harness plug in's

the plug in from the harness on the 99 fits the 92 but one plug in would be left on the 92?
i confuse i no srry bout that
