just playin with ya, i can't answer that question but i'm definitely in for answers.. b16 would obviously be better stock, the d is cheaper and definitely different. i'd turbo the b if you have the money, or will have the money if you want more speed. or turbo the d to be different yet still push a lot of power (less than b)
i'm sure i'm wrong somewhere in that but that's my .02

Well hold on a second. What is your power goal?
I've seen built turbo D's make 700 WHP. I doubt you plan on going that high... so what would be the advantage of swapping to a B-series?
People always seem to be like "oh, B-series rulez, D suckz" and really they don't know what they're talking about. If you have a realistic power goal, it is much cheaper to go with the D-series.
A B16 is a D16 with an extra cam and a little higher compression, and a little higher redline (which would not even matter because if you built the D, it could handle higher RPMs). It's not that much different. Hell, it only makes 33 HP more than the D16Z6 at the crank in stock form.

If you plan on building the engine and you want 300-350 WHP, the D16Z6 should be just fine.
And Rusty, you can go over 200 WHP. There is no set number that you can't go over. I wouldn't recommend it, but i've seen stock D16Z6 engines boosted and safely making 250 WHP. Tune is key. 225 WHP is personally the number I wouldn't go over on stock internals, but that's just my opinion.
