dual engine

You can also hook your motors up front to back: then you can use the original bellhousing. The front engine generally has the flange of its crank welded or somehow bolted to the crank of the second engine.
Keep in mind the V12 was probably putting out some serious torque at very low RPM's. CID=Torque (and not necessarily horsepower). The combined 200-250 lb ft of torque from the civic motors might be somewhat doggy. You're only talking about a combined 3.2 liters of engine there...

the reason why im not doing a chevy 350 is for 2 reasons, 1 its overdone, 2 it wont fit, the frame rails are way too far apart for a small block to be practicle.
i've thought of doing them inline, and using something like a transfer case (out of an old truck) in between them to connect them, that way i can run only one engine when i want or both engines for more power

Its simple... in theory. . its been done on a tiburon. You must have it as an automatic setup. Stick just wouldn't work. Engine and trans in front, engine and trans in back. Would need to move gas tank of course. Most likely a cell in the back seat.

Imagine all the gas you'd kill in beast like that?

I think that it's especially possible on a transmission with a cable shifter. (i'm not referring to the del sol with this comment, just brainstorming)

Just seems like you'd be able to F it all up more in a standard. Especially if you get the front tires to spin, and the back tires grip. Would put both engines at different RPM's making everything fubar.

i would either have both engines hooked up side by side or inline, and joined together inline to a single tranny.
the pic isnt to scale but it may help you see the inline idea better, the other id the side by side set up, the red represents chans to a common equidistant driveshaft

No to a 350? how about a 454? or a 502 OR a 572!
or drop a Duramax or a Powerstroke since it is a lincoln in there and chip the f*cker. You'll really haul *** then.
