Please excuse my noobness lol .. i was wondering what goes in a 95 honda dx? Is it a SOHC or a DOHC? And which one gives better performance?

 

a dx has a sohc d15

 

well you drive a d15 non-vtec.. which is a sohc. and anything will give better performance than this lol ..slowest honda motor, but u can always swap it to a b series .which is a dohc .or u can get a d16y8 head which is an ex head with vtec in it... and will give u more performance

 

SOHC: Single Overhead Cam
DOHC: Double overhead Cam

More is better. DOHC is better. B series engines are DOHC. D series engies are SOHC.

D15's are slow engines. swap to a OBD1 D16z6

 

Search "mini me swap" and check all that out. That will give you a good gain in power and will give you vtec.
