hope this post is under the right section.
i have a 1996 honda civic dx w/1.6L SOHC non vtec, manual trans, coupe.
motors got millions of miles and is real beat, burning oil, etc. i am definitely swapping in a new motor, but i was thinking instead of going with another slow basic 1.6L sohc non vtec, is there something else i can swap in real easy that is more fun? i was thinking along the lines of a 1.6L DOHC vtec out of a similiar year del sol?

im looking for something that will bolt right up very easily, and wont need crazy modification, and something that will also bolt up to my tranny. if you are equipped with the knowledge, please also post the year range of engines that will work. i realize i will need a different engine harness and computer. if you are equipped with the knowledge, please also post the year range of harnesses that will work. is there an easy place to get that stuff besides ebay? lol

You need to do a lot of research my friend. Swaps have been covered immensely on this vehicle.

To get you started, B16, B18, B20 would be the easiest DOHC to swap in.
