i had almost the same problem with my rad, the frist day i bought my car it was barley driven and on the way home it was aobut an hour drive the stock rad blew, there was a crack near the main cap. went and bought a new race rad and put that in my self after fitting the hoses the old clams wouldnt seal tight enough...... so i was loosing a full resivor tank a day and then i put all new clamps on and after that the hoses didnt keep the pressure so the top hose completly blew in the middle while i was out with a girl for a date .........( bad situation ) ...........

well bad news and good news... today i checked under the hood after school to double check my work again to see that there are no leaks. I found out that the part of the radiator where the upper hose connects was cracked. Coolant was still being lost and sprayed everywhere. I ended up replacing the radiator which was pretty easy and straightforward.
Bad news: cost me another 100 bucks to fix this whole thing.
Good news: It's allfixed and done with, and I have a new radiator. Not to mention the brand new radiator also looks better when viewing through the front bumper's grill.

I thought you need a new radiator hose, but the best way for you to do is to bring your car in the auto shop so they can check it.
