Default EX to SI 2006

Ok i know this all might sound really dumb... but today i landed a $4,000 dollar website job... i currently just bought in december a 2006 Civic EX, now... ive always really wanted the SI but i couldnt afford it at the time i bought it (paid in 2 checks...) but now that i got this 4,000 i think that would be enough to cover the difference?

i was wondering do u think i would be able to trade my EX in and get almost most of it back and then be able to buy the SI with the 4,000 added to it?

might sound dumb... but i really want the SI

Well it's only a $1500 price difference between the 2 MSRP so take it to the dealer and see what they say....what is the payoff on your loan now?

Deffinately worth a try. Money talks. The only thing is they would have to drop the price for it to sell but if it still perfect condition and not many miles shouldn't be too hard to talk them into it. But personally I think it would have been worth a few more months wait and just get the Si to begin with. Good luck tho.

LOL...The dealership is going to be your new pimp. I hate to say it, but they probably are'nt going to deal with you in your favor. Oh don't get me wrong...they'll take your car, but they won't give you full value for it.

Well I don't know about the aero kit...they may have had to put some holes in the bumpers to install it....I know I had to when I put the factory aero kit on my 98 accord. If the car is paid off I would think $4k would be enough money to make the trade. Why don't you try selling it yourself then buying the Si? How many miles are on it now? I'd have to agree with 06SI though....I would never buy I can unless it had everything I wanted. I almost had to sell my left nut to get enough money down on my Si but would not have settled for anything less.

Let me know what happens.

Bring some gauze and a turnicate because you will hemorraging when they get done with you. $4k might cover it but is that really worth it to you?

I have to vote for selling it yourself, a much easier thing to deal with, some people just don't like to deal with dealerships, and you can get very premium money for a basically brand new and popular car.
