EX or Si? What to buy?
I am going to buy either a 2008 Ex or Si, I don't know which I should get. What are the differences? I know the Si has the stronger engine and 6 speed transmission. What are the other differences? Any recommendations or suggestions?
Thanks!

RE: EX or Si? What to buy?
Get the Si if you want performance. It's a 60hp difference in power.
Si has some special interior Si badging or something, upgraded stereo, different wheels and a spoiler. Most of all though as you pointed out it has a better engine and a 6 speed transmission.
IMO it's Si or nothing at all when it comes to buying the 8th gen civic.

Si, you still get good mileage and better performance. But I could care less what rims/tires it comes with, I'd always buy my own set of rims/tires and sell the stock ones. Get it tinted and you'll be good to go. And if you want you can always add other performance parts later.

It depends on what u want. If you care about 60 extra horses, upgraded brakes, sport tuned suspension, better seats, SI rims, SI spoiler, and a 6 speed transmission that offers better gearing, then get an SI. If all you care about is fuel economy, and a dependable, decent performing vehicle, then get an EX. My SI averages 30 mpg, city/hwy mixed. Personally, I bought mine for economy and performance and I am very happy with it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with an EX, it is a fine car, but the SI simply outperforms it.
