Default Exhaust

I want to get an exhaust for my car, but i don't have a lot of money right now, due to car payments and insurance. I was on Ebay the other night and some muffler tips. I know that they give you some of the sounds that come from a nice exhaust. They only cost $18. I was thinking about buying one of them and putting it on my car. The only thing is that I am trying to keep my car away from the ricer end of the scale of cars. I was wondering what I should do? If any one could help please give me some advice.

I think you should save your money for the exhaust. Getting a tip when you actually want an exhaust is like wanting a Picasso but settling for a blurry Xerox of one.

Then with that said what type of exhaust should i get. Should i just save up and get a really nice catback or is a cheap one out there that gets the same results. Sorry if i am asking to many questions but i have just recently started getting into customizeing my car and i am still pretty new and dumb to all of these things....

Definitely save and get a cat-back. Muffler tips are instant rice, and usually sound like complete ***

Talk to our forum sponsors, and run a few searches here, and check out the product review section. A lot of people post questions about what exhaust they should get.

Good Luck!
