Front Sway Bushing Replacement

Front Sway Bushing Replacement
I'm looking to replace the u-shaped bushings on my front sway bar when I do the end links, and I was wondering...
Instead of removing the stock rubber u-shaped bushings, and then either trying to worm the new poly urethane bushings down the length of the bar, or having to remove the bar entirely, would it be possible (and by that, I mean, not a terrible idea), to just make an incision on the flat top of the bushing (as mounted), and just pop it onto the bar?
Perhaps more importantly, has anyone here used the above described method?
Thanks

I double checked both kits for f&r sway (energy suspension pns# 16.5105R front, and 16.5107R rear), and neither of them have the aforementioned 'cut' that I was really hoping I had overlooked. Looks like I'll have to drop the bar and roll around in the street for a bit.

I usually don't put too much faith in the write ups around these parts. Not because they aren't accurate, but because they are often lacking some or all pictures. When that's the case, I'd just assume turn to my FSM. I'll have a look for yours, and hope for the best.
Thanks, both of you, for the input!

They have to be cut, there's no way of just slipping the bushing on from the end of the bar. I have the same bushings and you pull them apart and pop them on over the bar. The ends of the sway bar are too large due to the endlink holes to slip the bushings over.
Here's a DIY install of the same bushings to reinforce my claims.
