Fuel Mileage

RE: Fuel Mileage
There are lots and lots of variables here. If your driving habits and style remains constant and if the percentage of highway vs. city driving remains about the same, you should see some improvement in gas mileage by the 5000 mile mark. However, it is important to remember that the most important factor with respect to good gas mileage is how you use your right foot.

RE: Fuel Mileage
I bought an 08 civic coupe a couple months ago. I get about 32 on the highway and 25-28 in stop/go. I was a little dissapointed, when compared to my gf's 01 civic sedan gets like 30 and 35-38 on highway. I am writing it off to the fact that each year they make the car sportier and bump up the performance and lower the milleage. Which is ok with me. 25-28 is better than a lot of cars anyway.(like an accord)

I have a 08 civic coupe LX. I am getting 31-32 mpg in everyday driving. Combo of stop/go, i have 6 stop signs to deal with getting through my neighborhood to get to a main roadand then crusing 45-50mph going to work. Honda says 29 adv mpg so i'm pretty happy. Car only has 1000 miles on it.

Seriously? I don't find your numbers credible. I find it very hard to believe you get 38 in the city and 42 at 70 mph? That's ludicrous. How do you check your numbers? miles/gallons plus 10? Does anyone else find this hard to believe? Do you have a coupe or sedan or what?
