General ideas about my 96 EX
I drive a silver 96 Civic coupe EX. Everything is stock right now, but I'm looking into making it look awesome and perform a little better. I'm pretty new to the automotive world, so forgive me if I sound stupid.
As for looks, I'm considering adding a lip kit, spoiler/ wing, and halo front lights. What should I do with the rear lights? And also where should I look into getting my stuff? Like which websites? Also, if anyone lives in Albuquerque and they know of a good place to physically go to, that would be cool too. I've heard of procivic.com, but it seems like I may be able to get a better deal somewhere else...
For the performance, I basically just want to up its quickness a bit. Maybe with an cold air intake? I honestly have no idea. It's not in my budget to add a turbo or anything like that right now, so the next best step down may be the best but I'm not sure.
If you have anything else, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

RE: General ideas about my 96 EX
get a short ram (AEM or Injen)
lower springs (s techs)
maybe new rims?
lip kit will make your car stand out a bit more but not stand out like those rice ugly body kit
and you are pretty much set.
keep the rear lights, dont do altezzas!
ebay halo lights suck!! keep factory and black it out!!
strut bars?
this is just some ideas to start, but i would deffnitely get the air intake first along with the lowering springs.

^ yup yup but I do believe that you should get some 99-00 tail lights. They dont have any amber and so they look a lot cleaner.

Ok, I think I'll get the short ram air intake and lowering springs (maybe) sometime in the near future, like before Thanksgiving probably. The headers and exhaust will have to come a little bit later, as they are a bit more expensive.
As for the lips, those might come in the near future too, but around how much does it cost to get them repainted?

SRI and Springs are a good idea.
I disagree about what burgernuds said on the eBay halo lights.
I bought a set of them for about 100 bucks off eBay and absolutely love them.
I have had them on for about 4 months.
As far as finding a place near you...well I found one on the Tein website
info:
Speed Dreams Motorsports 2420 Comanche Blvd. NE Suite H-3 Albuquerque 87107 505-883-8388
Getting a lip kit painted shouldn't cost too much. (50 bucks for one piece would be the max I assume)
Just make sure you get it matched well.
Good luck!

^^^ I know our LXs have amber, I'm gonna tint them this weekend though so it won't really matter...
