I want to get to 250 HP on my Honda Civic EX 1999.

What's the cheapest and best way to do this?

 

build the stock motor, or swap in a b-series and turbo either.

 

Oh, I forgot to mention... I want to keep the stock engine...

Can I just put a turbo on that?

it installed? Would I bring it to a shop and tell them to

since your pretty new to cars, go to a shop and buy it there and have them install it. it will cost a little more than online, but you will be happier than if you buy it yourself and forget some stuff you need or something else goes wrong. and if you dont do much work on your own, then a turbo kit install is asking for troubles.

Does anyone have a set of instructions they can scan for a turbo install so that I can see exactly what's involved? I'd like to see if I could do the install myself. I've done work on engines before, and I'm not afraid to try installing stuff.

 

There is no CHEAP way to get 250HP out of a 99 EX.

Make sure you re-read what sacicons wrote. "build the stock motor" then "turbo".

If you turbo first and try to get 250Hp out of it you will be rebuilding or replacing that engine like real soon.

250is hord on the 99 ex i got a b16a2 with supercharger and i am only up to 227, now i know the turbo will get you more but my b16 started with 170 and i think yours is 127, anyways good luck i hope it works
