In my experience with glow gauges the needles don't come off and the new gauges slip in behind them. If you got a Haynes manual with the wiring diagram in the back and a voltmeter, then install ias a snap.

THose are pretty tight..

Is there anything you should look for when buying gauges like this? I mean for $11, I guess thats just a lot cheaper than i expected them to be. I just wonder if the "you get what you pay for" strategy applies to these or not?

I would say it doesn't. In a true sense, it's not $11, it's more like $36. Look at the shipping. We all know shipping for something less than a pound in no way is going to cost $25. All these guys on Ebay with glow gauges, shortshifters, and various other things overstocked and now they're just trying to break even. They're just sucking you in with the low "Buy it Now" price. However, that's still a good deal because most shops, at least in San Diego, are running $60-$70 for glow and reverse glow gauges. I say go for it if those are what you want.

Those aren't the actual gauges, are they? To me, it looks like it's just the background for your existing gauges.

Alright, but i found another set on ebay for like $45, and they looked better for whatever reasons.. And they had about the same amount of shipping. So i guess my questions still stands

I like these, if i were to choose.

Found this too. i know i saw a how to on a site before but cant find it. the new guages will slip over the needles so you dont have to take them off. a budy of mine broke a needle and wasn't easy to find nor cheap
