Had a 1999 lx sedan a while back and I'm going to be picking up another civic soon as a commuter car. I am looking for mainly a 1997-2000 ex coupe, just wondering if there is a noticable difference between the two cars, I believe the ex has like 20 more hp stock if I'm not mistaken. Going to spend around 3,500ish. Just looking for some opinions. Was thinking for some first mods on it V2 intake, dc 4-2-1 header and possibly a short throw shifter. So two questions, is the short throw shifter worth it and if so can someone reccomend one? And I was expecting 5-10 hp with the intake/headers is that about right? Don't want to do a catback since its a commuting car so I'd like to keep it quiet so will it sound a little deeper with the header or nothing really. And does the header bolt right up to the stock cat. Sorry for all the questions just want to make sure I know what I'm doing before I do anything, excited to have another civic, and a 5 speed. As of now my dd is a 01 V6 mustang.
