if its a harley maybe but no dont race him unless you are running some kind of forced induction/spray

 

I hear that harleys have ridiculous amounts of torque off the line but since they have 2 huge pistons, they have no top end power.

 

they suck off then line and on top end and they dont have really any bigger pistons then other v-twins. harleys have a single pin crank thats why they sound like they have a cam but really there about to cut off due to stupid a** engine desing. a vtx 1800 does have big pistons close to same bore an stroke as a 350 chevy.

a 1340cc harley is rated at i belive 62hp thats a 99 soft tail custom i think thats what the bike is my mom has

ive got a 1978 gold wing with 85hp and its a 1000cc

 

yeah harleys suck except the v-rod (in which porsche did most of the engineering anyways). But you still would brob get beat. Look at the power to weight ratios. Yeah, my dad has a gold wing with 120 horsepower, 800 pounds. And it still does zero to sixty in like 4.something seconds. Thats like twice as fast as my 96ex. If you think you're going to beat any bike (sans an old or beat up one) you are sorely mistaken.
