I got a buddy who is already waist deep into this project. It all started whith a blown d16. I have tried to talk him into doing a b series but he seemed obsessed with the h22. Has any one done this swap before i am just wondering how many mods are really going to be made to make that thing fit? p.s il post some pics when this thing ever gets done.

 

from what I've heard, it's actually not as difficult a swap as most will say (nor is it much heavier than a b16... I think it's a little over 30 lbs heavier dry, but that's just the block/transmission, so let's say 50 lbs with everything bolted on).. I think you have to do some cutting to get the shifter cables through, but I think that's the worst of it... he's going to need to get some motor mounts, of course.

Yeah i have to admit that looks pretty sweet. We pulled the blown d out last night, he has hasport mounts, driveshaft shop stage 2 axles, a jdm type s valve cover (the blue one) a greddy intake and greddy stainless header and the ecu conversion harness. he is waiting on a shift linkage and he might be getting a koyo radiator. so it should be really good looking swap when its done.

its not that bad and it fits snug in there. guy at my work has a turboed h22 ek pushing over 300whp and going for close to 400. its nasty

I want an h22 so bad, but I also kinda want to get a b16 and turbo it... so many choices! lol

civicexracer. A buddy of mine has a 673whp turbo'd h22 in his civic..and OMG it will scare the SH*T out of you..its crazy crazy fast. Dude has vids of him just demolishing ferraris and lambos on the highway..its sick. He's saleing it. He wants 28K for it. Super clean. wanna buy it? ha

Best of luck to him on that sale. Hes better off breaking it down and selling piece by piece, then selling a stock car. I would imagine its hard to find someone willing to spend 28K on a honda.....unless it was brand new from the dealership.

 

Yeah thats what I said, untill you see his car and inside/outside and when he gives you a ride in it. Then you'll know why he wants so much for it. He has 28K just alone in the motor.Everything in that car is top of the line.It won NOPI last year in one of the events. It is wild.
