Default hahahah WOW

So on my way to St.Louis today I saw this red 5th gen hatcback at auto-master in Joplin, Mo. It looked like it was in good shape on the outside. I wanted to stop on the way back but my parents wanted to get on home and go pick up our dog. So I just called them. It's a 93 5spd with 248,000. I'm thinking this should be in my budget. So I asked how much they wanted for it in cash. He asked what I was looking to spend and I said no more than $2500 and he was like "well, We'll probably want 55 or $6,500" What the ****?!? I swear they are out of their mind lol. Next time I'm in joplin if they still have it I think I am going to stop by and check it out see if it's got a swap or something and then ask what they want cash so I can just laugh at them. Yep.

Dang. I got my '95 for $800. Of course, the blown head gasket and other repairs and things I've bought have me at roughly $2000 total investment.

But $6500?!?! Stealerships... who needs 'em.

I wouldn't spend $2500 on it most likely anyways.

I paid 1700 for my 93 with 69k on it. I think his asking price is a bit to steep.

That's an understatement. That price is full on approaching vertical cliff status.
