Personally I would go with a B18B b/c the engine is pretty cheap.

I don't know why the Cavalier/Cobalts haven't become the tuner cars of choice because they're already fast cars out of the box... all things considered. My wife's '96 Z-24 [automatic] was a screamin' fast car in its own right pulling a factory 165hp, and it seemed even a little quicker with just a K&N drop-in FilterCharger.

I only imagine they've gotten that much quicker over the years. And I really liked her car... but I've got tons more legroom in my '95 VX Hatch.

I wonder how much trouble I'd get in with you guys if I dropped a 2.4L Quad-4 into my Hatch. ;-)

I bet they would freak out lol... I'm all for it I love chevy's and honda's I'm gonna buy a 92-95 civic hb soon. My bro and father are gonna build a 95 camaro in about a month and we pretty much share cars lol
but yeah cavy's and cobalts are amazing stock if i wasn't gonna go with honda I would definitely go with a cavy with a cobalt ss 2.2L swap and add a turbo. but thats out of my price range at the moment....

Nah there only 205hp but god they are quick lol... my brothers best time is a 9.30 in the 1/8. my goal is to buy a 92 to 95 civic hb and drop an B20 engine in it but I'm debating if I wanna do it tho. Whats a better engine in your opinion?
I ran a 8.7 in the 1/8 my best with a stock JDM h22a in my 4door EG.

Fixing to put bigger fuel pump, plugs,MSD igition, ecuchipped w/hondata s100/tuned.So then will see how it runs then.

my friends 07 Cobalt LS (not supercharged or anything) can kill my Civic, its a 2.2 so its got me there, but as soon as i'm boosted i'll have it i'm pretty sure. So i imainge the SS is pretty fast if its supercharged, but they're definitely beatable with some $$ dropped into a Civic's engine
