Default Have a model question...

We have an '01 Civic and the front speakers are toast. Eventually I want to get some better aftermarket ones (daughter's car) but for now I am content with finding some used OEM.

The problem...I find listings for 1996-2000 and 2002-2005.

Seems the 2001 is always skipped. I believe it is the same as the 2002-2005 but maybe they had a weird year at the beginning?

Will 2002 OEMs fit the 2001?

It looks like the front speakers are 6" around with a smidgen over 2" depth . Buy some cheapos from Wal-Mart (20 bucks?) and save the hassle of finding OEM.

Usually people trash the OEM ones, or keep them for later when they decide to put the stock back to stock and sell it.

I would suggest to pick up a set from ebay (pioneer, sony, alpine should all be fine). Go to www.crutchfield.com, find the size, and then search for the size on ebay, or go to a place like wal-mart. Anything like 25-35 RMS watts would be fine for the stock head unit.

Thanks for the replys! I think I will look at an aftermarket right off the top then. If only it wasn't so COLD out there!
