Default Help me pick a car, get a free turbo timer.

-Ok, so I have three cars I am thinking about right now and I need as many opinions as I can get.

Car 1:

2001 honda civic LX 2dr coupe silver with power windows/locks 5 speed with 69k miles for 6900 at a dealer with new inspection, bearings, oil change, etc.
Car has weak, untunable f22 SOHC non vtec engine with 115 horsepower.

Car 2:

2002 honda civic EX 2dr coupe silver with all power, sunroof, 119k miles for 5900 at a dealer with new inspection, etc.
Car has (still weak) f-engine SOHC vtec.

Car 3:

(ORIGINAL AD)

Honda 1992 Civic 4 dr w/jdm B16 motor w/a t3t4 turbo, front mount intercooler, tial wastgate, turboxs boost controller, 750cc inj,255 walbro, apexi exaust, apexi SAFC2, apexi ECU, tokico struts w/eibach springs, 17" gunmetal MR7, DC strut bar, alum. racing radiator, guage pod boost\air fuel\oil psi\, AEM adj. cam gears\7 # fidanza flywheel w/act stage 2 clutch,96 integra ls trans., greddy BOV, turbo timer (not hooked up), car is running on 15psi, motor has 40k car runs mint., needs paint, car has pw, ps, pl, cc. asking $5000 firm. more than dbl that ivested, this car is a serious sleeper. also comes w/snow tires \ wheels and 2 drag radials on wheels

-- This car also comes with an uninstalled rear disk brake conversion and probably a brand new inspection. The 10 wheels/tires it comes with have mostly good tread. The car was professionally tuned locally and has about 245 whp. The engine has a spacer so it has extremely low compression to make it more turbo-friendly. The seller also told me a valve bent on one of the cams at a drag race a while back and he had it sent out to be repaired. I rode in the car and it is a smooth ride that grinds over big bumps due to the big wheels and low suspension. (about 1.4" drop). The seller seemed very honest about everything. If I get this car I can get it for $4500 and get a new paintjob (paint on it is original 92 and has only 1 small rust spot above rear DS wheel.) I will also get a CF hood, ICE, and racing seats if I get this car. The body and frame have about 200-210k on them but the suspension is quite new.

MY SITUATION: I will be going to college in the fall and putting very low mileage on any car I get, and I will also only have liability insurance on any of the cars. I have some knowledge of how a vtec engine works, how a turbo works, what the individual parts are for (BOV, wastegate, etc.) However, I don't know a lot and probably could not do any repairs myself. Tell me what you guys think, this is greatly appreciated and WILL be rewarded. Everyone who gives me a good piece of advice will be entered into a drawing and I will ship the winner the turbo timer if i get car 3 or another prize that has to do with interior styling if i get car 1 or 2. (I AM SERIOUS, YES.)

I would go with car 3, but i hate 4doors.
Car 1 and 2 i hate thouse years.........boy this tuff.
With the liability insurance with car 3 is not a good thing because it might get stolen.
Car 2 has a sunroof, again sucks it will leak sooner or later.
I would say car 1 FTW, because it wont get stolen, insurance will be low, there are some
things out there to make it faster
Good luck with this.

One more thing.......why would you go with car 3?, its someone else project.

3 would be a cool one to have.... Why is he selling it though?

I would say 2 though. Why? Because you will only have liablility and if you got number three and it got totalled, you probably wouldn't get that much back because it's an older car. If you got number 2 and it got totaled, you'd be more likely to closer to what you paid for it.

But if your goin for preformance I'd pick 3.

if its a car your looking to get you through college just get a stock car. less hassle, when you build a motor things are gonna break period. I know my turbocharged civic i am always working on. weather im changing this or trying to fix that. I would get car #1 because it has low miles and will last you years without any real trouble but basic mantinence. Like you said you will put very little miles on the car and a turbocharged car you wont have time to drive
