I have gotten the tools I needed, but I don't know the steps to

Download the 96-98 Civic service manual at the Manuals link in my signature. The A/C chapter should prove invaluable to you.

If your old compressor suffered catastrophic internal failure, I would also suggest a new condenser. The condenser will be full of little bits of the blown compressor, which are basically impossible to remove.

Pull the condenser / fan assembly first and access to the compressor is much easier. If equipped, also remove the power steering pump-- but do not disconnect the fluid lines, just unbolt it from the engine and move it aside.

How to determine if the compressor was severely damaged and genereate a lot of debris to the condensor? And what type of condensor , parallel flow ? I am not sure .

If I need to change the condensor , how about the evaporator ? If so , it seems I have changed every main component of the whole system, then do I need to flush the system ?

Thanks your guys so much
