RE: Hit and Run Today
i have a friend that does paintless dent repair and he swears by the suction cup things.
he poped a dent out of my hood and it was from someone jumping on my hood. try it and see how it works. you've got nothing to loose.

Dont think those suction cup will work on this type of dent cuz its pretty deep in person.

RE: Hit and Run Today
Man this is so weird!! I own a 95 coupe and got hit in the exact same place (on the crease of the fender) only on the driver's side. Hit and run as well! [:@] I went to 4 paintless dent repair shops and they said it could not be fixed and that I needed to replace the panel. They said they could press out the dent, but by it being on the crease of the fender, it wouldn't come out looking perfect and may crack the paint. We have an aftermarket parts supply store here in OKC (Certifit) that has the part for $40 and it will cost me $200 to get it painted to match. Not too bad, but I have other things I'd rather spend $240 on than something that shouldn't have been damaged in the first place. [:@] I feel you pain...

I got two estimate for the damage and one of them is $658 and the other is $350. So i just went to the salvage yard and pick up a fender for $45 and paint is $100 and i just install it myself.

$100 on paint is a good deal. Glad you got that sorted out. Maaco was the cheapest I found and they wanted $150, but the Maacos here do horrible work. Auto Tech does the best I've seen without breaking your walllet and I'm willing to pay a little more for a good job.

If a dent is in the middle of a nice flat or little rounded surface, the suction cup will work. But if it's on a crease, nothin will fix it very well unless you replace the part. Once a crease is bent, you can't get the dent out very well unless you have good access from behind as well, and you are an expert body person.
