just wondering a few things has anybody ordered from hmotorsonline? im going to get a d15b from hmotors and just to be for sure the d series trannys are all compatible right? the reason im getting the motor is because my z6 took a dump today threw a rod threw the block and im just gonna get the jdm sohc its cheap and it will do the job till i get the h22 but feedback is good

I've never ordered from them personally, but the only negative thing I've ever heard about them is that they won't sell a transmission seperately.
But yeah, the d15 will bolt right up to your z6's transmission. I'm kind of curious, though... why not just pick up another z6 for $300?

well im more into the jdm scene and these days my luck is ill get a junk motor from somebody and waste the money and the last jdm b20 i got came from hmotorsonline was really nice it took a beating while i had the car but for 525 i get the jdm d15b vtec i trust jdm really but to say the least i kinda expected my motor to blow but it was weird no knocking or anything and the block just started shooting out oil i was just amazed i didnt hear knocking at first but yeah im gonna drop the d15 in maybe even boost it but idk i really want the h22 but cant afford the swap at the moment so yeah but thanks for the info man much appreciated

I know crower is good, and as far as I know skunk2 is pretty good. Honestly, I'm not sure if either make a d15b cam, but I'd check. Also, I'm not sure about what d-series cams can be used in what d-series motors (you might be able to use a cam from a different d-series, but I'm honestly not sure).
Either way, a d-series cam should be somewhere around $300. Also, two things to consider: the bigger cam you get, the higher you can rev. If you plan on revving higher than the stock redline, you'll need to upgrade the valve train to do it safely. Also, make sure you know whether or not you plan on boosting; a turbo/sc cam is different than a n/a cam (though you'll still see gains with a n/a cam on a forced induction motor, but you'll see better gains with a turbo/sc cam using forced induction).
Also, check out places like SummitRacing.com, Procivic.com, Passwordjdm.com, etc.
