I have honda cancer on my rear quarter panel. I am getting a new civic in the spring so im not 2 worried about it. i say cut it out before it gets bad and fiberglass it and bondo it. Be proactive about it. I wasn't but i wish i had been

So yeah, just make sure that you have no rust to start with. I.E. Under plastic trim, inside of the car and under. If there isn't any just keep it clean and dry. Wax it every so often and you should be golden! The main thing is to not let stuff stay on the paint. Road salt, and crap like that. If it gets on there just get it off and dont let it stay for a week. If you can do that you should stay rust free.
