the head swap sounds like alot of work... i guess it would be worth it. maybe i'll get lucky when i'm lookin for the car and actually find an ex sedan(from what I hear, they are kinda rare)

yeah... i'd prefer a 6th gen though.... sorry to sound picky lol. the more and more i see 7th gens, the more and more i like them, though. but no matter what, i hate the 7th gen sedan tail lights. [:'(] no offense. thanks for the help though.

The 6th gens handle better, and look better imo. For the head swap you might try ebay, or your local junkyards.

the head swap is an awsome idea, i found mine on craigslist for 260 with everything. and the cool thing is the valve cover says vtec so i can sport it. i was looking on ebay for y8 heads and there are good deals on there too. look up vtec head and d16y8, it will bring up what you need.

aight guys i got one for ya.....99-00 si coupe with the b16a2, its got....CAI, no exhaust yet, but CTR cams, daul titanium valve springs, titanium valves, ctr crank, ctr pistons, head milled .030, and its port matched....what horsepower you think im puttin to the wheels, and in my heavy *** car what do u guys think on a 1/4 mile time? oh yeah and vafc vtec controller....

What do u guys know about a butterfly electronic cut out....or i believe that is what its called...its so u flip a switch in the car and it opens up the exhaust so that your running either open header, or right after the cat depending on where u put it.....thanks in advance

The head alone will push you to 140-145, as well as boost your peak torque about 1000 rpm forward.
Where'd you get that from? It shouldn't be much, if any, higher than the 127 of the Y8.
