So after work today I head out to some local trails for a quick ride, and after about 45 minutes or so I realize I'm not having a good day....and I've almost hurt myself twice. I decide today just isn't my day so I cut the ride short and come home, I got a decent sweat in but not the ride I had intended to take.

I'm home for a few relaxing when the wife calls and said she'll be little late, then asks if I'll pick up her dry cleaning. Dry cleaners are about 2 min up the street so no biggie, I head out quick so I can get there before they close and maybe grab some food on the way back.

I get about a mile up the road when I realize I've forgotten my wallet, so I turn onto a side street to turn around. As I make the left I hear something weird, sounded like something was rubbing against my car. Just as I look out my window, I hear a big thump and realize my bike has just snagged something and come off the roof. I pull over to assess the damage........f*ck [:@]

There was a low hanging TV cable running from the pole to a business which got snagged by my bike on the roof. The cable pulled the bike out of the front part of the rack, rotating it backwards directly through the rear glass!! Magnesium pedals also did a nice little number on the rear quarter as well

ouch... makes me fear taking my bike out with my civic...

ohh and a lighter bike would just have made it fall sooner... heavier woulda been better IMO

but thats horrible that a low lying cable was there... you could try to take it up with the city but i'm doubtful much will come of it.
