I think my brakes need replacement and am about to go get them replaced. I was going to go to the dealer since they have always provided fantastic service but I don't want to get completely ripped off.

What should I expect to pay from a dealer vs. an independent? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

You can do it your self and save a ton.
Are you going with stock pad's, or going with something diff?

 

What model is your Civic CX, DX, LX, GX, EX, Si, Hybrid?

 

I did my front brakes in 25 minutes today. All you need at least for my 2003 civic was a lug wrench and a 12mm wrench. The pads cost $25 bucks.

 

LX. I probably could do it myself but will leave it to the pros. I just don't have the time to do it.

 

on my 99 EX I had it was $137 for new rotors and pads and I did it myself. It's easy.
