Wouldn't replacing your stock trim with this create the same effect? I've thought about doing it myself...would it work?

Some of the respones in this thread are just too funny.

"Is that a fake manual shifter?"

"nah dude it's my anti-theft device"

Yes, I think it's pretty gay. But unless someone throws in a dummy clutch pedal with it, I don't see how he would be "pretending" to have a manual. People have been trying to make their automatic look like a manual for quite some time. I'm just glad that now there's a kit so all these FATF ricers don't completely ruin their car trying to do it.

Also, I actually have seen someone put a dummy clutch pedal in along with something similar to this. I fear for the future of the human race.

I actually think that would be a sweet alternative to the normal (square) boot setup in my civic. I think the idea of this product is stupid, but the overall look of it is pretty sweet. If i could find a manual one for my car i'd rock it. Either that or the slotted ones that Ferrari uses.

It may look a little better than what comes stock... but Id get rid of that chrome... if ya dun have a manny dun pretend like ya do... my friend had a 4-cylinder probe and he kept tellin me he wanted to put on some GT eblems(from a 6 cylinder gt probe) and I was like dude, you're a dumbass... it'll just make people feel EXTRA good when they kick your *** in a race lol.
