HP to weight Ratio

HP to weight Ratio
Not sure if this is correct section but we dont really have one with WR in it.. after seeing Marty's post though about car weights.. started making me wonder if there is any type of calculation to how much more speed you can gain for how much weight.. Like for instance.. in my car stock weight is only 2388.. assuming that is the dry weight.. im gonna try to get it down to 2k even with a few gallons of gas.. plus myself.. 165 currently.. so saying that would be 2100 lbs.. maybe extra 50 even for GSR motor and tranny.. guessing they weigh more so 2150.. how would i get a guess time based on hp to weight ratio for my 1/4 mile.. i know other things would be taken into consideration but just guessing off of stock even with the difference in near 400 lbs.. would it shave of more than maybe 1 second from 1/4 mile time??

These are all just rough estimates you understand.

RE: HP to weight Ratio
Just for fun this one (Tuner world) has a Hp calculator too if you know your trap speed and ET.
Apparently I had

RE: HP to weight Ratio
damn.. dunno if those are right.. says for 2200 lbs with 210 whp.. i can get in 12 sec bracket.. thats insane for 3k b18c1 and a 2k SC
well one shows 12.7 other 13.5.. dont have guessed trap speed yet.. till i get to test unit myself..but by the time i get it all on and tuned ill be able to check at track for real

RE: HP to weight Ratio
These calculators mean nothing in real world situations, 99% of 1/4 mile times is the drivers ability. That is why I put a 128 crank hp 98 sedan into the 15's with bolt-ons and a lil weight reduction.
