Default I Just Said No To Vtec

ok, so i'm looking to upgrade my '92 LX sedan, but i'm not going to do VTec. Here are my planned list of mods. Lemme know what you guys think, and what you think my end HP would be.

Y8 Intake Manifold
B18 Throttle Body
Short Ram Intake
Header
2" Exhaust
HKS Hyper Muffler
D16a6 Camshaft

thats really about it. not looking to do anything extreme, just a fun and reliable DD that will get a little respect.

because i'm cheap, for 1. Andd for 2, its different than what everyone else is doing.

i know that i'll never have teh fastest car around, so i figure i might as well try and have the most unique

cool, more power to you

however, i think your hopes of "get[ting] a little respect" and your goals are set too high with this project. Not saying it's unattainable, because it's not.

What I'm trying to say is:
You're not going to get as much power as i think you think you will. You will probably not have more power than a stock D16Z6 or D16Y8.

plenty of guys go nonvtec some prefer it thier dyno graphs are more linear generally and you have a nice build similiar to some i have seen but if you want some real power out of that i suggest upping the compression through head gasket and milling the head thats the cheap way to do it.

yeah, later on in the build, i may mill down the head a bit, but i'm not sure as i need to have this as a DD.

either way, this is on hold at least for a little while because teh pressure plate that was just installed 11 days ago, is now not working. so i have to figure something out asap...
