yea bro im really excited about getting the prelude. he said if he doesnt get a higher price than 5000 he'll sell it to me. i really want it bad. ill offer him 5500 at the most. to me the lude would be perfect. i love the body style (forest green), interior is tan and black, body is in perfect shape, and the best part is that its pushing about 215-220 hp. thats enought to beat almost any civic, gsr, or rsx(or atleast keep up with them). ive always wanted a 99/00 si but i think the prelude is way better!

my god $5000 for a lude? that's something i'd sure PRAY about... heh heh.... yeah i know thatwas weak:P

anyway i originally wanted a prelude myself but with my being a first year college student any prices i found were too high, any 5th gens i found would usually be around 8k - 13k! but hey, im canadian! lol

but i bought my civic for 5600 off a co-worker and even with lots of mods i figure i'll have a sweet lookin car for cheaper

if i were you i'd be on that prelude like a fat kid on ice-cream

Power isn't everything... this is the weight of your car compaired to the prelude...

*1998 Honda Civic DX CPE MT 2342
*1998 Honda Prelude Base MT 3009

Personally... I'd just use the difference incash to upgrade to a bigger motor and trans for the civic... maybe even an H22...

Do you seroiusly think that with a cai and exhaust, that an otherwise stock, un-tuned prelude is putting 220 to the wheels?

I will take one pound of whatever you've been smoking.

yea its true what ur saying everyday getaway. but u have to admite a prelude isnta slow car. it can keep up with most cars out there. idk but i think it can even stay with a new 2008 si. and also u have to admit 5gs for a prelude is a good deal. especially if i can get 4000 or 4500 for my car. idk ive just always been in love with the ludes.

Yea, preludes are pretty nice, but they seriously aren't all that fast. My friend has a pretty well built SOHC CRX and he beats prelude's all the time at the track, I even beat one in my 97 sedan ONCE... but he had a passanger and was probably a sh*** driver... lol. I prefer the civic's or integra's because they handle a lot better and there's a lot more after market stuff for them.

do you know if the prelude is a base model or an SH cuz that's a wicked deal if it's an SH... although they're like 200 lbs heavier... my buddy has a 00 SH that is sick but i doubt it'd put down 220 with exhaust they can be fast though. i'd go for it

Dont listen to the guys saying preludes arent that fast. A 5th gen runs about as good as the new civic si and I know for a fact no previous civics ran that good.

Btw is this what the car looks like? Same color right?
