the old ones were basically overbuilt. they were built for potential, not out-of-the-box performance. the new ones are good out of the box, but they didnt build the engine or anything like the old one. its built to be good, but to never be great.

Yeah, the old SE-R's were packing SR20DE's (say no more), while the new SE-R's 2.5 can't handle anything.

But sacicons, I think this fits American cars better:
