Hey guys,

I'm wanting to install my Xbox into my Civic, but am slightly confused as to how to go about it. I have just bought a Goodmans X-Pro portable DVD player with a decent sized 8.4" screen. I'm wanting to keep the whole system accessable so that the Xbox can be removed from the car as easily as possible, for obvious reasons.

I would also like to be able to connect the system up to a stereo system so that I can have surround sound - a must for games like Midnight Club 3 .

What do I need to do this? I have already located a 'Joytech' in-car adapter which simply plugs into the 12v cigarette lighter socket. How would I connect the Xbox to the DVD player? Is it possible? Surely somebody must have tried this before?

The Player has an AV input and output, does this mean that it will accept a signal from a separate unit (i.e. a PS2/Xbox etc)?

Please post at your leisure as this isn't something I'm very clued up on to be honest. Any help is appreciated....

Yes, it will accept a signal from the xbox. Id make a bracket/rack under the glove box for the xbox imo. Also get a power inverter wired directly to your batery and tuck in the back of the dash to make it look even cleaner. If you want surround sound, you are going to need to invest in either Alpine or Eclipse. BUT, surround sound is not just a trip to wally world with every-day-low-prices when it comes to surround in the car.

 

XBOX? [:'(] install a PS2. If you get the slim, it should be alot easier and get this there is more than 1 game to play on PS2.
