insurance?

want to hear some stories on how dealing with insurnace went for the guys out there with expensive parts in their car.

i know a friend of mine has a custom painted civic and no one will insure it : [

custom paint? what color is it? bright purple with green racing stripes? just tell them it's how i bought it.

naw thats my friends car, those are painted on, there are some pics of it being painted on as well. aslo the burgandy is aftermarket paint so to speak

He can buy any regular insurance, but it will not cover any added stuff. It will just pay as if the car were stock. Which is still a lot better than having no insurance.
