Default Insurance Question

Hey guys, just wondering how badly I'm getting ripped off with my insurance rates. I'm 16 years old, with a clean history, and I drive a 98 Civic ex that is mostly stock, no modifications of which my insurance provider is aware of. It's of course a 2-door and my insurance rates at the moment are 200$/month through Allstate because of being required to go under parents. I make about 600$ a month making pizzas.

Anyone else, and any suggestions?

yea you're getting ripped off.
I was with the Hartford, paying $160 a month. Got a minor speeding ticket and it went up to $230.
Switched to Geico and I now pay $118 a month. Got another ticket and my insurance stayed the same.

also depends on what coverage you have. I have no insurance on my actual vehicle, it's only worth $2400.

If you're delivering pizzas with your car (without a business use policy) and the insurance company finds out, they will deny any claims.

You are definately getting ripped off. I am 17 and I have a 97 DX 4 Door and I only pay $138.50/6months. Of course that's no tickets and wrecks. In TX, it's required to have at least liability coverage. The only "discount" we get is that we have five cars insured under Progressive. My car had to be on it's own policy.

I was paying roughly $100/month for liability on my civic when I was 16. No tickets or anything at that point

Now Im paying $96/month for liability on my mustang with a careless driving on my record... how exactly does that work? lol

Dang. I'm 18 and I'm paying $350 every six months for liability on my 98 Civic EX 2dr. Its bright red (yeah... the color raises the price around here. bah.) and a minor speeding ticket. Then again, there's also a 08 Malibu (full coverage) and a house insured with them too, plus my good student discount, proof that I had drivers ed, and that I'm female (which lowers everything drastically, hahaha)

I went to an insurance broker and they charged me $25 for their service, and my first civic i insured was a 01 ex for about $660/6months. Then after i sold it i got a red 99 ex and same broker, same insurance company and i got $482/6months with the broker fee. I'm 18 got my license in march of this year.

I'm 18 and pay $1000 a year for my civic 2000 civic DX as well as being the secondary driver on the family jetta (I wanna get rid of the secondary driver thing since I could always say i'm a temporary driver since i rarely drive it). No speeding tickets or anything yet...knock on wood
