the type s heads are the best, they have the real vtec and good cams etc. the tsx motor is a k24 block and type s head basically but it is superior to other k24s. the accord, element, and crv k24s are like a b18 they have the torque, but no real high rpm stability. the 02-04 civic si has 160 hp and a crappy head that doesn't have the good btec system, so you can do a frankenstein with a type s head. hope that explains it a bit for you.

also the tsx has drive by wire so you would need a hondata k-pro ecu and convert it to a cable throttle to use it in any swap car.

if at high rpm for longer periods of time, i hear the k series are prone to spinning rod bearings

Actually the JDM K20A[2] Type R makes more power than the Type S (220 vs 201).

The resuld would be a very quick civic for a heckofalot of money. Dunno bout where your from but K swaps go for around 10 grand all said and done where I am. For that money you could build the **** out of a B motor and be much faster.

Berz out.
