in short. i gave a shop 3,500$ said make my car stick and put in a b16. i come back 2 months later engine barely arrived.. so then it comes to me that they got a B16A.. and it wont fit (long story) *i have a 95dx coupe* anyways.. u know when u get a JDM motor there isnt really any paperwork that comes with it n ****.... i just have a little crap recipt that says like the deposit. but my question is. since its their fault for gettin the wrong engine
. by law do i have the power to get a refund?

BTW (i took the motor to a diff shop cuz they were takin 4ever then i find out its the wrong engine as its going in.)

 

Thats the shadiest thing I ever hear. So you gave them the money first? I would of just given them half and give them the other after it's complete. I would take it to court. Or just sell the engine and try again.

 

Well to make the swap to stick AND get a b16a2 its gonna cost more than 3500.
It should be just about enough to change it to a b16 though.

i dont understand what your tring to say. you wanted a b16 you got a b16a. ok so thays the same motor. and it wont fit. well then you need motor mounts.so i'm confused whats wrong and what motor did you get.

i have a 95 dx . the b16a is the first generation motor that came out of the CRX'S. it will only fit in early CRX's and early civics. the alternator wont line up for ****.. i just wanna know if i start telling them that im a bring the law into it.. would i have the rights to do that?

 

the law prob wont do a thing for you and i dont see why it wont fit a b16a is the same in all generations the only differance is what obd it is. i'm guessing that the motor is obd0, then you should take it to a shop where they know about engine swaps.
