Leaving Honda before it even started
Hello guys!
Just wanted to explain why I have been away so long, and why you haven't heard anything new about my 99 Si. The car never showed up and I haven't heard a word from the seller in about 2 months. Luckily i haven't paid him anything up in advance. That would have been almost 25 000$ down the drain.
About 3 weeks ago I bought a 99 Toyota Celica AT200 instead. Saving up for a 3S-GTE (260 whp 2.0 litre turbo) swap atm. The car is in perfect condition and shiny Toyota Red. bought it straight up from Germany with disc brakes on all four wheels and imitated wood interior. Payed about 16-17k$ for it and I'm really satisfied. It only got 50k miles on it (and the engine have gotten a total rebuild so the actual numbers should be 2k miles).
I think of my Civic (that I never got because of some stupid *** seller) almost every day, but I'm starting to get over it as time goes by. My biggest problem is adjusting to the low rpm engine in the Celica (redline at 6k). I'm so used to driving at 7-8k rpm from both Honda and Nissan engines earlier(not while daily driving of course), but I'm slowly getting there. Also, getting aftermarket parts for a Toyota is hard as hell.
I can post some pictures of the ride as soon as the weather gets better. It could really need a wash up and some wax at the moment.
