Default Looking at an Acura TL

I currently own a 1993 Civic LX, internally stock with some modifications outside (tint/wheels/paint/lights), and I'm looking at getting a new car.

I've looked at RSXs, Celicas, Integras, etc (You can tell I like the foreign imports ), but nothing looks as good as an Acura TL (2002/2003)

I've been looking at the 2002 and 2003 Type-S models and they are going for around 11-14,000 for under 100,000. The specs look great and it really seems like it'd be a fantastic choice, but I need more input.

How do you guys feel about TLs? More specifically these years.

The transmissions in those cars are known for having problems
a friend of mines has a 2003 TL-S and his tranny went out at 40,000 miles
If you do get one, make sure it is covered by the 100,000mile warranty that some of them have

I have noticed that the ones I've looked at do have the 100,000 warranty.

With a nice body style, good power, good interior, it seems like a good car. Would you disagree?

well my mom owns a 00 and it had that recall on the transmission and it had something to do with 2nd gear or something. Anyway the tl had not had anyproblems with the tranny she just had it fixed just in case. You cant go wrong with an acura TL, the only thing i would have to say is that the 2002 and 2003 have a larger and bulkier front end, the 99, 00, 01 have a sleekerfront endto them and they flow better, BUT its all about your opinion anyway.
I am getting this one in the spring (moms)

My boss had one. The tranny went out at 50,000 miles but it was covered under warranty.

My parents have one and they love EVERYTHING about it...except the transmission which got replaced under warranty like everyone said.

Oh man... don't mess around and hold out for a 3G TL. This is by the far the sexiest Acura out there (IMHO):
