so i want to buy my first civic. this one is a 95 2 door ex, with 190,000 miles. 1250$$

how good deal? will this last>? good first car?

 

Depends on how the previous owner treated it.

 

Yea, 92-95's are great.
190,000 should be okay as long as it's been maintained and treated well (i.e. regular oil changes, air filter cleaning/changes, replacing parts that need to be replaced when they should be, no neutral drops if it's an auto, not driven hard, etc.)
Make sure you find out when the last time the timing belt was changed (assuming it was changed at all. i'd hope so... lol) and change it if it's been ~60,000 or more miles since last change

Definitely a good first car though, I have a 93 and I love it. It gets great gas mileage, especially considering it's age. The age of the car and lack of new features doesn't really bother me at all. Insanely reliable too... the only things that I have had to replace due to it going bad were the battery (of course) and radiator (which probably should have already been replaced). So in otherwords, the only things that went wrong were things that weren't replaced soon enough.
