Looking to get rims and tires under $550 Any ideas?

well right now it's not showing any cashback discount on ebay. The cashback percentage changes every couple days, no one knows when it'll go up or down or not be there at all. Like I said earlier, it'll most likely jump back to 25-35% after christmas.

First post here.
I just wanted to second the craigslist recommendation. I picked up a set of Devino 17" wheels the other day for $100. The guy wanted to run a smaller set for commuting and his wife made him sell the rims. Before he did he took the tires off and sold them to his brother.
I called up my buddy at the tire shop and he sold me a set of 205/40r 17 tires (Fuzion ZRi) for $300.
If you are willing to hunt, wait, and/or drive a little bit you can pick up a set for cheap from someone off of there.
Good luck with your hunt.

Reason?
He said that they are one of their best sellers for the price and what they are. They are good for the price, no? I am not looking for high performance right now and the car isn't a daily driver. I was just sick of the ugly hub caps and had just over $400 to spend on wheels/tires right now. This brought it in right under budget.

well if you're not looking for performance they're fine
they just don't grip the road around corners as well as other comparable tires
they're also discontinued, so if you ever need a new one because you pop the tire and it's unpatchable, you're out of luck
they're alright i guess though, just not very good.

Though, if you do ever need one for any reason and can't get one, contact me.
I have a Fuzion ZRi in the exact same size in my closet, with about 95% tread on it.
I'm using Nexen N5000 tires and one got a nail in it and was unpatchable and I needed a new one ASAP because I had to make a 400 mile trip and there was no way I was going to drive 400 miles going 50mph max on a spare tire. A couple weeks later when I had more money and the Nexen was in stock, I got a new Nexen N5000 and the Fuzion ZRi has been sitting in my closet ever since.
One weird thing I noticed about the ZRi is that even though the tread width is suppose to be the same as my Nexen tire, it was actually narrower... I found that odd.

That is weird with the width...
I don't know how long it will last but they have a ton of them in stock. Obviously if they are discontinued and they are a good seller, they are going to deminish quickly.
I will keep you in mind if I ever need one. Thanks!
