Default mounting my rainguards?

i posted this in the appearance section but thought maybe i would get more replys here.

i bought a pair of rainguards for my 2000 ex coupe off ebay designed for this model car.

i am having a couple issues installing them though.

do they go all the way from the rear off the door and leave a gap about 1-1/2" between front mirror or do they atach right at the morror and just end directly past the glass?

also, on each door is this thing that is in the way of where the guards are suppose to attach. is it on the front side of the door up near the top?? what are these things and how do you bypass them?

First off, make sure you have the right ones. They should fit right on the top of your door, flush to the mirror. Look at the rubber seal around your window and match it up. Use your scratch pad and alcohol wipe to clean the window area. Take red tape off on each end and crease the middle tape bend it up so that you can tear it once the ends are in the correct place. Tear the tape and push it down. Good luck

i will try to take a picture of the things i am talking about on the upper part of the slope part of the window.

unless these things can be removed, there is no way to install the guards over them.

i am no sure, these do follow the angle of the window and do have the design to fit right up against the mirror.

if someone with a 2000 coupe or hatch has rainguards on their civic, can you please post a picture of yours on your vehicle

Well, thats problem number one. WHen you get the ones with brackets you actually pull the stripping down and mount them to that so that that little tab is actually inside the visor. Just do some searching around on the net, I'm sure someone has installed them on your model
