my first honda civic, my thoughts
I bought a 92 Civic LX sedan about 3 months ago and I am beginning to not like it now, should I sell it or put in a V-tec motor? it has right now 206,000 miles and is starting to seem real gutless especially with the a/c turned on, it has hardly any power now, I changed the oil and put in plugs and plug wires and still it drives really sluggish. It is starting to use like a half court of oil per week, this was my daily driver until I just bought a clunker 1979 Porsche and it runs better then my 92 civic sad to say. To keep the civic or to sell it? I think I'm going to get what I always wanted a 96 or newer Honda passport.

it seems to me that you already own a play car with the Porsche. my suggestion to you is that you play it practical and sell the civic. I'm sure the Porsche was not met to be your DD. look around and find a more reliable car. swapping an engine into an old civic like that would be a waste when you could easily sell it, find another car, and put the money you were going to throw at the civic into the Porsche

You could repower it with a stock engine and have a nice daily driver. I agree the 92 to 95 was a real solid basic car with great mileage. But if you'd rather have the SUV, the Porsche has a lot of project potential to meet any desires for a second faster car.
