my new civic.
ok so i sold my 94 civic back in april and then a week before thanksgiving i found an add on CL for a 92 civic dx hatch forsale for 2200. it was yellow with a ricey body kit, 18" rims, fiberglass hood and fenders, and a TURBO KIT!! well come to find out its a cheap turbo from jDMSPORT.COM. its not the best turbo ever but im going to try to do what i can to make it last because i dont have the money to but a new turbo and manifold right now with the holiday season. but let me know what you think of it. oh and by the way i didnt pay a single penny for it because i traded the 97 explorer that was given to me for free so the car cost nothing. now what i know it has is a short throw shifter, msd ignition system thats not hooked up, aem fuel rail and fpr, boost and afr gauges(need wires for afr if anyone has wires to a faze afr gauge) 5 inch tach with shift lit, leather seats swapped in, body kit with big foglights, rims, fiberglass fenders and functional ram air hood, and lowered on coilovers.

Holy ****. I don't even know what to say, but damn. That's a project. Good luck. You should get the car tuned first before anything. I am assuming there is nothing done to the ECU set-up.
I would just start yanking everything from the interior and either re-paint it or replace with OEM. Then start yanking all the extra wiring out of the engine bay/interior and replacing/re-run them out of sight.
I would then replace the turbo, and manifold, wastegate (if no name), BOV (if no name), and oil lines (if they cam with the junk set-up) at the least. Once those pieces are replaced, Go get re-tuned. You may need bigger injectors, too (if still stock - I am assuming they are stock since I am assuming you are running the stock ECU still).
While all this is going on, I would be looking to find new bumpers etc etc etc to get it back to stock looking. IMO, anything yellow needs to be re-done or removed

That is not the stock engine (or at least the head has been swapped), which is good. Stock in the 92 DX would have been the D15B7 non-VTEC.
Why are aftermarket spark wires always so crazy long? For any engine model, the distance from the distributor post to the spark plug hole has never changed.
That may not be the stock ECU. It looks like an OBD0 ECU.
Was the vise-grip window handle included in the deal? Is it just a window handle or does it double as a hood release too?

this... makes me feel better about my project. Sure, I spent 3k...
I remember when I was in middle school... I would have LOVED this car, hahahaha. Oh, how times have changed.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep us up to date on this project. I'd love to see this little baby returned to stock on the outside, tuned and turned into a REAL car. keep it clean and you'll be happy with the results.
