Default Need help with my 97 civic Cluster

I have a 97 civic dx coupe. I want to take out the cluster because it does not come with the RPMgauge. Is there another cluster from another car that will fit my car and that has the RPM gauges? I do not want to buy a seprate RPM gague for my car. I want everything in the cluster for a stock look. Any ideas which ones i can use and with lil wiring possiable?

All 96-00 Civic's, will fit your car. just hit up ebay, or your local scrap yard and you should be able to fine an EX or Si one, hell even some CRV ones of the same years will fit.

this has been covered a million times, it's all plug-n-play. just make sure to get automatic if your car is automatic, and manual if your car is manual (of course)

How much do they run for? If i was to get it at a junk yard? And if it's plug N play dont I have to do something with the rmp wire inside the cluster since it didnt come with the car.

^ i know, i just think it's pretty stupid looking to have the automatic settings in a straight drive, but none the less, they all work

no, from the factory, the tach sensor wire is run to the cluster, but not used in the DX/LX models.

you will need a EX or Si Cluster from a 96-2000 civic

Probably somewhere around $100

what you'll want to do, is remove the speedometer from it and replace it with yours to maintain your current odometer readin

Like they said. It's pretty easy. Do a search for it, and I know you can find a ton of pictures of the internals.

Last time I was at the junkyard, they had one they were selling for $75 bucks. That's been some time ago now, but I can't imagine it being a whole lot more than that. There were a couple on ebay lately.

BTW, I just got outbid on two sets of OEM red/clear tails. People want to pay SOO much for them. I don't.

Don't bother with that. it's only illegal to roll back the milage, if you replace the cluster and it is not the correct milage then that is ok. is your speedometer work though you can do that if you want
