Don't even try to compete with a Mustang. even a V6 would take you out to lunch.
5.0 stangs are out of the box 225hp. Dseries are like 125hp grocery getting economy cars. Don't forget that he's probly got about 150lbs of TQ on you, if not more. Don't bother. But if you must. Your going to need some boost, or a Swap.
