Not asinine at all, do the same modifications to a single cam and a B-Series. Which will be making more power?
And Hamorhead, I've been following that Civic in I believe it's Super Street? Definitely an amazing build, but the average person really doesn't have access to the level of parts/build Guru's that they do. Not saying it's not possible, just unlikely.

And yet you still hit that ~300-350whp traction limit with FWD. Dirty D's are definitely able to hit 350whp.
And since we're bringing this up, you want to talk about power per dollar? For the price of a civic, B-swap, and whatever mods, you can be sitting at well over double to power with a 5.0 fox-body mustang. What about Nissans? You can swap a CA18DET into a $400 240sx for $1,800. That's not just the price of the swap, it's the cost of buying the powertrain and putting it in the car; no new mounts needed or anything. $2,200 is still cheaper than most B-swaps before the're even in the car and you're already sitting at a higher power level with a stock engine. The "well X car has this done and if you did that mod to Y car, it'd blah blah blah... " argument is one of the most pointless, idiotic points you can make.

Ok well let me correct you Chris my Future Ex Husband...
I've helped build a 89' 5.0 (financials not actual hands on) and they are a lot more expensive then building my civic... just sayin. It was a lot cheaper to do my swap even IF I were to rebuild my motor then to build that mustang...or maybe it was cuz we used rather expensive stuff idk...but it was pretty damn expensive for mustang parts.

Used 5.0 engine + used blower + smaller blower pulley = cheap. Everything I'm doing to my car? I could do the same thing for half the price with used or cheaper parts. I'm just at the point with cars where I don't see a point in doing something at all if I don't do it right the first time.
*edit: for example, there's a freshly rebuilt 5.0 with an auto trans for sale in the Lexington craigslist for $750. For another $400, you could have a T-5 (5-speed manual) from a 5.0 or a 94-04 V6 which will bolt right up. For about $1500-$2k (or less; I don't really shop around that much for 5.0 parts), you could have a blower.

I completely agree with reaper... There is ZERO reason to have a lightweight fwd above 350whp (or even 250 imo) when you are losing traction so easily

He isnt NIKE, wth?! Idk what hes talking about at all ??? I didnt say anything about a sohc motor being turboed would be better than a dohc turboed at all. I was saying the OP shouldve made his motor turboed not sc'ed (but i meant his B series but didnt specifically mention it) and he said something about turboing a single cam woud give u less power over a turboed B series yada yada yada so try reading my posts which he didnt do properly in the first place. He got himself into his conversations/mini arguements so dont try to throw me into stuff [just saying.]
