So I had a few questions about the new ride, and hey, figured I'm going to be active on here so why not get started.

First is, I'm assuming that in 2001 it was an optional upgrade to have the stock cd player installed. I've heard that this cd player outputs only 8 watts per channel, so with some further digging discovered there's an issue with installing third party units. Can anyone clarify this? Also related to sound; Has there been an easier method of getting to the rear speakers discovered yet or is it still considered hell, if so I may disconnect the rears, upgrade the front speakers and install a small quality sub.

Last question. I know most people say "highway miles", however in this case it actually is highway miles, the person drove home to Halifax from Winchester often (about 1,500km per trip on google maps). So that being said it's clocked at 380k but it rides better than my buddies at 120k. The carfax shows no accidents and I was provided with documents showing an oil change every 3000-4500km for the past 10 years (I'm only the second owner)

What can I do to prolong the life of this car? Single dad who just lost his house+van to the wife so I wan't to try and get at least 3 years out of this. I already got a full tune up, everything checked out, tires balanced and aligned, oil changed etc. Past E-Test (smog) with flying colours.

So yea, thoughts?
