Default New car

Hi, I'm in the market for a new car, $10,000 to $15,000, and I am considering a 2006+ Civic.

Are they reliable?
Are there any common problems to look out for?
I am also considering a Civic SI, same questions about that.

Thanks!!

if you have $15k to spend get yourself a 01-03 S2000 and if you can find a deal, you can get yourself a 04/05 for $15-$16k, but it'll be around $16k and probably with something around 50k miles

I haven't looked into that yet!

My main thing is reliability over the long term. I'm trying to get out of a car that has cost me $3000 in repairs in the first year of ownership. I don't wanna gothrough that again!

honda=reliability

as long as you do your oil changes and just take care of it, it will last.

I would say do an oil change every 5k miles and with synthetic bump it up to 6 or 7k, but it can go a little longer depending on driving conditions.

Yes

There are some,
1. I have seen and heard other people with rust on there newer cars under the molding around the doors.
2. 06-07 had a recall on there rear hubs, again iv heard only one story where a rear wheel fell off.
Another thing was there was a spot in the front where they forgot to weld, where water could drip down to your carpit.

I am also considering a Civic SI, same questions about that
The only thing i know about that is the 3rd gear pop's out.......some time's, there are even you tube clips on this.
